If so, you could be the Information Management Professional we are seeking.

We are seeking a highly motivated Information Management Professional. This position will support Sandia's Mission and the people!

This position is matrixed to provide impactful support across the Laboratory Effective teaming, a focus on standards, commitment to success, and translating results into actions are critical to this role.

On any given day, you may be called on to interact with information, knowledge, data, artifacts, and/or records and adherence to standards as you:

  • Identify and collect
  • Store in a structured manner
  • Organize and facilitate for easy retrieval, using categories, metadata, and taxonomies
  • Maintain and enhance repositories and information management tools across various environments and security levels
  • Facilitate the distribution through tools and repositories to support key deliverables and milestones
  • Secure by implementing access controls
  • Monitor the status to ensure data integrity
  • Provide training and consultation
  • Identify and implement process improvements

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range

$74,700 - $144,400

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Library Science, Business or related discipline, plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with information systems, data management, and the development and implementation of information processes.
  • Ability to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
Qualifications We Desire

  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Library Science, Business or related discipline.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams and perform well in deadline-driven, fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other information or product management software/tools.
  • Experience with configuration management and records management best practices.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships.
About Our Team

The Knowledge Management Office (3240) is composed of highly skilled Technical Writers and Editors and Information Management Professionals. Our experts are matrixed across the Labs to improve the quality and effectiveness of Knowledge Management.

Posting Duration

Security Clearance

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
