Engineering Coordinator

Position Description:

This position is responsible for coordination of services, repairs, and preventative maintenance on hospital equipment. Procures material, equipment, and parts for use by the department. Retains records of hospital service contracts, preventative maintenance, service and repairs. Acts as department secretary and provides clerical support to the Security Department as needed.

Duties:

  • Contacts vendors for service and repairs.
  • Receives service reports, monitors costs, obtains purchase order numbers and completes requests for purchases.
  • Resolves vendor invoices discrepancies on all invoices to service contract, parts orders, and outside service repairs.
  • Responsible for transcription and various clerical duties for the Safety Committee.
  • Maintains up-to-date personnel records on each departmental associate, including vacation, holidays, sick leave, in-service education, etc.
  • Coordinates preventative maintenance program (PANDA) on all equipment preventative maintenance to ensure it is current.
  • Completes check requisitions for all utilities (electric, water, telephone) and maintain records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree required, bachelors degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent computer skills specifically with Microsoft programs and ability to learn specialized maintenance programs. Good typing skills and effective communicator.
