Marketing Specialist I

Job Summary:

As the Walsworth Marketing Specialist I, you will support the execution of marketing campaigns and programs across email, social media and customer and prospect initiatives. This role assists marketing team members with campaign development, coordination and reporting while independently managing key production tasks and platforms. The Marketing Specialist I plays a critical role in ensuring campaigns are executed accurately, on brand and on time, while developing core marketing and project management skills.

This role is based out of our Walsworth - Overland Park, Kansas, office. This is a salaried, exempt position. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.



Essential Functions

* Assist in managing the Parent Email Program by supporting list organization, list scrubbing and data hygiene.

* Build email campaigns, including testing links, reviewing layouts and ensuring accurate setup prior to sending.

* Support ongoing promotion of the Parent Email Program through coordinated marketing efforts.

* Assist Marketing Specialist III with execution, organization and documentation of email workflows and processes.

* Manage day-to-day execution of social media platforms and campaigns, including creating, scheduling, publishing and monitoring content.

* Support content planning, creation, execution and workflow management for integrated customer and prospect campaigns and contests.

* Coordinate campaign assets, timelines and deliverables to help ensure smooth execution across channels.

* Write, review and edit marketing items as needed, ensuring clarity, accuracy and brand alignment.

* Contribute to creative development and brainstorming sessions and follow through on assigned initiatives.

* Ensure brand and style standards are followed consistently across all marketing materials.

* Assist Marketing Specialist II and III team members on projects and initiatives as assigned.

* Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

* Document processes and workflows to support consistency, efficiency and team knowledge sharing.

* Contribute to weekly status updates and project reporting.

* Handle and support sales representative requests in a timely and professional manner.

* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external departments to support marketing needs.

* Participate in internal and external presentations, workshops or conventions as needed.

* Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong customer service skills.

* Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.

* Content planning and creation skills, with the ability to manage workflow and deadlines.

* Knowledge of and ability to follow brand standards and style guidelines.

* Writes, reviews and edits marketing items; AP Style knowledge a plus.

* Contributes to creative development and campaign execution, including brainstorming.

* Strong organizational and project management skills.

* Ability to conduct market research for internal and external projects.

* Detail-oriented, proactive and deadline-driven, with high accountability.

* Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to learn, adapt and embrace change.

* Understanding of market and target audiences.

* Ability to provide and accept input and feedback and incorporate feedback effectively.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field

* Work or Internship experience, preferably within a marketing group, preferred

* Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows-based databases.

* Salesforce, Brevo, Pardot, Canva and Monday.com experiences preferred, but not required.

* Social media platform and scheduling tool knowledge a plus.

* Basic AI prompting skills a plus.

* Video skills a plus.
