| Primary Purpose of Position |
This position serves as the 'lead' Quality Assurance Specialist - with responsibility for independently evaluating facility conditions and service delivery against established operational standards, identifying performance gaps and improvement opportunities, and providing structured findings that support operational decision-making, continuous improvement, and service consistency.
Coordinates quality assurance activities in support of inspection readiness and operational effectiveness, provides working guidance on inspection standards and procedures, and collaborates with Analytics and Process Improvement functions to support data-informed improvements across campus facilities. |

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

| Essential Job Duties |
- Conduct independent evaluations of campus facilities to assess cleanliness, maintenance conditions, safety concerns, and operational readiness against established standards, including APPA levels and applicable regulatory expectations.
- Perform structured facility inspections with attention to operational quality, life safety considerations, and compliance readiness, identifying conditions that may affect Department of Insurance (DOI), Fire Marshal, or other regulatory inspections.
- Interpret and apply established operational standards, inspection criteria, and departmental expectations when assessing facility conditions and service delivery performance.
- Identify deficiencies, hazards, recurring quality issues, and operational concerns requiring corrective action and communicate findings to appropriate operational leadership and campus partners.
- Develop and recommend corrective actions and operational improvements to support service consistency, compliance readiness, and overall facility condition and performance.
- Maintain accurate, consistent, and standardized documentation of inspections, findings, corrective actions, and follow-up activities to support reporting and operational tracking.
- Monitor recurring facility and service-related issues to identify trends and support proactive efforts to improve conditions and reduce repeat deficiencies prior to formal inspections or audits.
- Communicate inspection findings and facility-related concerns to building liaisons, faculty, staff, contractors, and Facilities Management leadership in a clear, accurate, and professional manner.
- Collaborate with Analytics and Process Improvement staff to support reporting, trend identification, and continuous improvement initiatives related to facility conditions and service delivery performance.
- Partner with Learning and Development staff to support development of training materials and operational guidance related to custodial standards, maintenance expectations, APPA levels, and inspection readiness practices.
- Provide working lead support for quality assurance activities, including coordinating inspection assignments, reviewing inspection documentation for consistency, and supporting training and onboarding of QA staff.
- Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing inspection activities, escalating significant operational concerns, and coordinating follow-up actions within established procedures and program guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing field-based observations and quality assurance input to support enhancements in service delivery, facility performance, and inspection readiness across Facilities Management operations.

- Experience in Facilities Management within a higher education environment, including responsibilities related to quality assurance, compliance, auditing, or operational review.
- Experience serving in a lead or coordinating role, including organizing workflows, prioritizing tasks, delivering training, and supporting staff development.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate work quality, interpret operational data, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that support continuous improvement.
- Experience working within a collaborative quality, analytics, and process improvement environment, including familiarity with APPA standards, regulatory inspections (e.g., DOI/Fire Marshal), and computerized quality management or reporting systems such as Orange QC or similar platforms.
