Senior General Manager - Mixed-Use Development

What this job involves:

The Senior General Manager (SGM) will serve as a key member of the leadership team, overseeing white glove property management services for a new and exciting mixed-use lifestyle development in Tampa, from ground-up to grand opening. This premier destination features Class A office space and high-end retail, requiring exceptional attention to detail and service excellence throughout all phases of development and operations. In this pivotal role, the SGM will be entrusted with managing these distinctive properties in strict accordance with JLL's established standards, procedures, and the Management Agreement. The position demands a results-driven approach, focusing on achieving financial targets, meeting operational objectives, and ensuring the highest levels of client and tenant satisfaction across both the Class A office and luxury retail environments.

Working in close collaboration with the regional leadership team, the SGM will play a crucial role in comprehending our clients' investment objectives and formulating tailored, property-specific strategic plans that reflect the premium nature of this mixed-use development. The role requires delivering sophisticated, white glove service that exceeds expectations and sets new standards for the Tampa market.

Moreover, the position requires exceptional communication skills to maintain strong, productive relationships with building owners, Class A office tenants, and high-end retail partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations while upholding the elevated service standards this flagship property demands.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Development and implementation of operating and capital budgets, and financial reporting
  • Implement and execute business plans to maximize property tenant satisfaction and profitability
  • Provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders throughout all project phases
  • Build and motivate a high-performing team across multiple sectors including office, retail, hotel, parking, entertainment, and placemaking experiences
  • Deliver strategic guidance and oversee all aspects of the operation, including tenant and guest satisfaction, team management, financial performance, and client relationships
  • Ensure tenant satisfaction by implementing retention program and keeping tenants informed of any property activities
  • Oversee competitive bidding for service contracts and act as primary contact for contractors and vendors.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures for tenant rent collections
  • Ensure property, or properties are operating in accordance with JLL best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of commercial real estate or property management experience
  • Experience with ground-up development Class A commercial properties
  • Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years of experience managing a team of three (3) or more people
  • Excel in fast-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to think on their feet and adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Experience with managing capital projects
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Strong financial and accounting acumen, and experience with budgeting and financial reporting
  • Efficient problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven (7) years of commercial property management experience, and 3-4 years' experience managing people
  • Experience with managing Property Owner Associations
  • Real Estate License is required within the first six months of assuming the position
  • Client focused approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and other required software
