Hiring Immediately! SIGN ON BONUS OF $1,000 Lead Maintenance Mechanic in Huron, OH Starting Pay:33.88-40.94- target-up to 49.12 for if qualified/ experience. Full-Time Benefits Shift: Monday- Friday, 1st shift- Monday-Friday, 7 AM- 3 PM. We're seeking a skilled Lead Maintenance Mechanic responsible for identifying and resolving roadblocks in daily production by monitoring progress throughout the shift and for maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems across all departments. Key Responsibilities May Include
- Ability to perform proficiently all duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician
- Responsible for the diagnosis, setup and efficient handling of downed equipment
- Provide good communication on issues within plant with a focus on timely resolution.
- Capable of assigning work to employees
- Communicate clearly to all teams inside the production facility, and to other workstreams.
- Operate computer and software systems, maintain accurate records, and operate equipment safely.
- Reinforce safe working practices in the plant by personally complying with all Safety Procedures (SOP's) and Work Instructions (QWI's) and leading others to do the same.
- Facilitating intra-shift cooperation and unity (5S duties, safety, production flow, etc.)
- Coordinating maintenance activity as needed
- Complete daily records and update KPI's as required.
- Assist in training other employees.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must have ability to understand and carry out instructions issued in written and verbal English
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical documents and drawings of plant process equipment
- Two years of technical training with state of the art maintenance practices preferred
- 1-3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
- Ability to practice safe material handling techniques
- Excellent Computer and PLC skills (Experience with Allen Bradley Panel view systems and Allen Bradley PLC networking equipment preferred)
- Experience working with a CMMS system preferred
- Understanding of basics of hydraulic theory and its applications; understanding of applicable utility systems; and understanding of plant instrumentation/control systems such as level detection, temperature measurement, mass and magnetic flow meters, etc.
- Solid Mechanical and Electrical background
- Experience using basic hand tools, power tools, electrical and electronic test equipment
- Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, hoists, scales, and other equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, stairs, maneuver around equipment, manipulate valves, bend, reach, kneel, stack pallets, work from heights up to 20-25 feet, and other related tasks
- Must have ability to complete required safety training
- Capability of working in a Non-Temperature controlled environment
- Wear protective gear including but not limited to: gloves, safety glasses, face shields, ear plugs, hard hats, respirator, and other PPE as required
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed
- Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership over area of responsibility
- Excellent communication from explaining equipment to operators on the floor to presenting recommendations for continuing plant and process improvement to management
- Capability of working with limited supervision
- Ability to work overtime and some weekends
