Job Summary
Oversee and manage daily production operations within a Hitachi manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient and high-quality output while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
* Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control procedures.
* Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and equipment malfunctions promptly.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
* Maintain accurate production records, reports, and inventory levels.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide opportunities for skill development for team members.
* Operate and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment as needed.
* Manage raw material and finished goods inventory to support production requirements.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high-volume setting.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
* Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
* Proficiency in using production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by production demands.
