What to Expect
Therole Tesla is looking foris ahighly motivated Quality Engineering Technician to support cell and modulefailureanalysis,lithium-ioncell component analysis, and data analysis inlab environments fortheCell Qualityand Field Reliability team.
What You'll Do
- Review field return casesto identify reason of return
- Analyze and interpret cell inspections and analysis data independently
- Document results of tests in a clear and concise manner
- Plan, setup, organize and maintain the battery lab space and equipment
- Performfailureanalysis of cells from modulesand packs, including module checks, cell measurements, module and data analysis,andcell dissections
- Regular review ofcell CT scansfor quality and defect identification
- Provide feedback to vendors by reporting failure modes that are discovered and identified, keep track and record findings in manufacturing tracking systems
- Conduct both destructive and non-destructive cell analysis
- Analyze and interpret data independently
- Retain confidentiality of testing, test procedures, and data at all times
What You'll Bring
- Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under production pressure
- Proven record of time efficient task execution, detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills, excellent communication skills
- Above average manual dexterity and visual acuity are required to perform delicate assembly and disassembly tasks
- Ability and passion to perform hands-on tasks such as cell openings and inspections in the lab and production environment
- Strong desire to learn and use advanced characterization and analysis techniques in cell quality work processes
- Work with others in a cross-functional environment and follow written & verbal instructions
- Ability to use business software tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
