Required Employment Language

  • Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. is a federal contractor and is required to comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, which supersedes state laws to include cannabis. Employment is contingent on passing a 10-panel pre-employment drug screen, random drug and alcohol screenings, and background/reference checks.

    Position Summary

    Lead grounds maintenance personnel and perform or coordinate landscaping, turf care, grounds repair, exterior cleanliness, storm cleanup, irrigation support, and related site maintenance activities.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily grounds maintenance assignments, schedules, inspections, and service requests.
  • Perform or coordinate mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, mulching, debris removal, litter control, storm cleanup, and seasonal grounds tasks.
  • Operate and maintain grounds equipment, tools, vehicles, and small engines in a safe and professional manner.
  • Support irrigation, drainage, exterior hardscape, site safety, and weather-related response activities as required.
  • Maintain records of work performed, equipment use, materials, and site conditions.
  • Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
  • Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
  • Experience in commercial, institutional, campus, municipal, or federal grounds maintenance is required or strongly preferred.
  • Prior lead experience and safe operation of grounds equipment, hand tools, and small machinery are preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with irrigation systems, pesticide/herbicide coordination, stormwater support, and seasonal grounds planning is preferred.
  • Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
  • Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade operations and maintenance team.

Physical Requirements

This position may require prolonged standing and walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, operating outdoor equipment, and working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
