Position Summary Lead material coordination, parts support, inventory control, receiving, staging, issuing, documentation, and logistics support for facilities operations and maintenance work. Compensation note: Shown as Lead Craftsman I-III range pending final classification. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate materials, parts, tools, supplies, inventory, and equipment needed to support work orders and maintenance activities.
- Receive, inspect, store, issue, stage, and track materials in accordance with site procedures and documentation requirements.
- Work with craft leads, managers, vendors, procurement personnel, and warehouse or stockroom personnel to support timely work execution.
- Monitor stock levels, material usage, shortages, returns, and reorder needs; help maintain organized storage areas.
- Maintain accurate records for receiving, issuing, inventory, material usage, and work order support.
- Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
- Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
- Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
- Experience with material coordination, inventory, purchasing support, warehouse operations, facilities maintenance support, or a related logistics function is required or strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to support multiple work priorities are required.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with CMMS, inventory systems, receiving documentation, vendor coordination, and maintenance parts identification is preferred.
- Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
- Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade operations and maintenance team.
Physical Requirements This position may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying parts or supplies, operating carts or material handling equipment, and working in storage, shop, warehouse, and facility areas. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
