| Job Description |
ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is seeking several certified Aquatic Lifeguards for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 academic term. Lifeguards will play an essential role in maintaining the safety and security of all patrons utilizing our aquatic facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of all patrons in the aquatic facility
- Monitor activities in and around the pool to prevent accidents
- Enforce all facility rules and regulations
- Respond quickly to emergencies and perform lifesaving techniques, including first aid and CPR
- Conduct regular safety checks of pool equipment and facilities
- Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons
- Complete incident and accident reports as needed
- Participate in regular training and in-service sessions to maintain skills and certifications

Qualifications:
- Must be currently certified as a Lifeguard, including CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be available for flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
