Senior level Security Guard opportunity available with our Venice Family Clinic. The Lead Security Guard will work independently under the general supervision of the Security Manager, andprovide security services for our Venice Family Clinic.

Key duties include:

  • Crime prevention and security patrols.
  • Preparing routine written reports, such as incident reports andin-kind donation forms when necessary.
  • Serve as a Lead by acting as the primary point of contact and providing oversight of Security Services/Security Officers throughout the clinic during the Security Manager's absence.
Salary range is $23.00 - $30.31 Hourly
Effective 06/22/2025, employees represented by the AFSCME Union will receive a minimum wage of $25 hourly.
Qualifications

Required:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess and maintainGuard Card, Chemical Agent certification, and BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Possess a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
  • Oral communication skills sufficient to convey clear and concise information to the public and staff, such as giving directions, crowd control, and explanation of policies and procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in security procedures
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and co-workers
  • Working knowledge of security systems, including locking mechanisms, alarms, and cameras
  • Ability to write grammatically correct, concise, and logical reports
  • Ability to effectively supervise and train individuals and groups when necessary
  • Ability to be assertive and use necessary physical force to control situations and/or individuals
  • Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference or hostility

Preferred:
  • 5 years of related experience in security operations
  • Bilingual in both written/verbal English/Spanish
