About the Role

We are looking for a Logistics Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing regional Logistics Operations and specifically warehousing performance through data-driven analysis, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on enhancing the performance, scalability, and efficiency of external logistics partners (3PLs), while supporting both day-to-day operations and longer-term capability development.

The position supports cross-functional collaboration across regions and sites. Partnering closely with Logistics Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain teams, IT, and external service providers, the Analyst translates operational needs into practical, sustainable logistics solutions and supports the implementation of future-state capabilities. The role combines performance management, reporting, and project support with analytics to drive effective decision-making and improve coordination across the logistics network.

Leveraging digital tools, including SAP-enabled logistics processes, the Analyst identifies opportunities to improve service, cost, and operational consistency while reinforcing execution discipline across internal teams and external logistics partners.

This position will be located in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $91,000 - $121,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Assess business requests, translate requirements, and collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Procurement, Sales, Planning, Logistics, IT, Finance) to develop effective, scalable solutions that align with supply chain strategy
  • Manage and implement logistics projects that advance logistics capabilities and deliver measurable business value
  • Partner with 3PL providers and internal teams to define, improve, and sustain operational processes, interfaces, and performance expectations, reinforcing execution discipline
  • Build and maintain data analytics capabilities, dashboards, and reporting to enable evidence-based decision-making
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance (service, cost, efficiency) through KPIs and reporting, identify root causes, and drive corrective and continuous improvement actions
  • Serve as a regional SME, partnering with business teams (E2E Supply Chain) and internal/external logistics to drive process and 3PL optimization.
  • Support operational optimization initiatives, including inventory optimization, warehouse productivity, storage and service-level improvements.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives by enabling adoption of logistics systems and tools (e.g., SAP WM/EWM, TMS), including process design, testing, and stabilization
  • Serve as a subject matter resource to sites, supporting problem-solving, audits, and best practice deployment
  • Perform other duties as required in support of logistics operations and strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain or a related field, OR a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with warehouse operations, inventory control processes, logistics process optimization, and designing and delivering logistics analytics (i.e., dashboard development, KPI frameworks, and performance management routines)
  • Advanced analytical capability, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas) and experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, SAP reporting, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, validate, and analyze large, multi-source data sets to generate actionable insights
  • Working knowledge of warehouse and transportation systems (e.g., SAP WM, EWM, TM or similar platforms)
  • Experience in distribution logistics, warehousing, transportation, supply chain analytics, or process optimization within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional projects, including process design, system implementation, testing, training, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Strong communication with the ability to connect logistics operations, data insights, and broader supply chain objectives
  • Experience working with 3PL providers and managing logistics performance, service levels, and operational issue resolution
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across functions, regions, and teams
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style, with a collaborative and partnership-driven mindset
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and ability to drive change in evolving operational and systems environments
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or leading SAP S/4HANA transformations, particularly within logistics execution or manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to advanced warehouse solutions and automation, including ASRS, AGVs/robotics, MES integrations, or non-SAP logistics technologies
  • Experience with transport cost analysis, freight spend optimization, and carrier performance management
  • Professional certifications such as APICS / ASCM (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD), Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher), or equivalent

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore's work arrangement policies.
