Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR's Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.

In the role of Senior Scheduler (Federal), we'll count on you to:
  • Provides advanced technical leadership for project scheduling on medium to large or higher-risk projects
  • Exercises independent technical judgment to evaluate schedule performance and impacts, and may approve schedules for low to medium complexity projects within delegated authority
  • Develop and maintain CPM schedules for major projects, including baseline strategy, update structure, and coding consistency
  • Lead schedule update analysis, including identification of critical and near-critical drivers and emerging schedule risks
  • Prepare time impact analyses and scenario evaluations to assess schedule impacts and recovery options
  • Integrate schedule inputs from clients, contractors, and third parties to support a coherent forecast and change narrative
  • Coordinate with project leadership and stakeholders on sequencing conflicts, mitigation strategies, and plan revisions
  • Provide written schedule narratives and compliance observations for project and client reporting
  • Review and approve schedules or schedule updates for low-complexity projects within delegated authority and defined thresholds
  • Contribute technical input to the development and refinement of scheduling templates, narratives, and quality checks
  • Provide day-to-day technical direction to small scheduling teams and mentor junior schedulers, without ownership of staffing or performance management
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science
  • AACE International Planning and Scheduling Professional Certification (PSP)
  • UFGS knowledge
  • PowerBi and Power Apps
  • Federal and Commercial projects

  • Understanding of Work Breakdown Structures
  • Experience preparing or reviewing time impact analyses,
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for schedule diagnostics and scenario analysis, Forensic Schedule Analysis
  • Experience with Construction Schedules and Construction Claims
  • Experience coordinating schedules with contractors or third parties.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible scheduling experience on engineering or construction projects, including schedule analysis and impact evaluation.
  • Proficiency in using Primavera, and/or other scheduling software
  • Experience with cost and resource loaded schedules required
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
