Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials in a warehouse environment. This role performs order picking, stocking, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The position is highly physical and requires operating material handling equipment, lifting materials, and standing for extended periods throughout the shift.

Job Responsibilities

• Put away materials, including loose fittings, bags, and boxes, into designated storage locations.
• Pull, prepare, and stage outbound orders for shipment.
• Receive, verify, and stock incoming materials accurately and efficiently.
• Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and order pickers to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
• Retrieve materials from shelving systems and storage locations up to 20 feet in height.
• Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with general warehouse operations as needed.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, secure, and safe at all times.
• Support shipping, receiving, delivery, returns, and other warehouse functions as assigned.
• Perform additional duties and assist in various warehouse roles based on operational needs.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and order pickers required.
• Experience retrieving materials from heights up to 20 feet required.
• Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling preferred.
• Familiarity with wholesale distribution environments preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn product information and warehouse processes.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and follow written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, twist, pull, and stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated stable work history with minimal employment gaps preferred.

Additional Job Details

• Position requires standing and walking for approximately 75% of the workday.
• Warehouse environment is not climate controlled and may experience elevated temperatures during summer months.
• This position may lead to permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
