JOB SUMMARY
The Planner is primarily involved in production planning and
forecasting to ensure a smooth material flow from the plant to the end
customer. The Planner is responsible for
planning inventory based on statistical data and customer forecasts for major
accounts.

Essential Functions
Order placement and management:
Generate transfer orders based on customer forecasts, current inventory levels, and established lead times
Work with cross-functional teams, taking the lead to ensure timely deliveries
Coordinate emergency situations with major accounts, Emergency Response Team and Matheson Safety Personnel
Provide weekly inventory reports for major accounts
Actively participate and lead weekly Planning Meetings and attend weekly Production Meetings
Adhere to all Quality System Policies and Procedures

Customer interaction:
Handle day to day and escalated customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency
Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Team collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments to address customer needs and concerns
Provide guidance and support to junior team member(s)

Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of customer interactions
Track customer inquiries and complaints, maintaining records until resolution
Maintain all documentation requirements for Site ISO 9001:2015 certification

Safety:
Keep work area clean and orderly, follow all company procedures and safety policies
Track customer inquiries and complaints maintaining records until resolution
Actively participate in Daily Toolbox Talk
Required for All Jobs
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or related fields
is Required
Work Experience
5 plus years of experience in Operations, Inventory
Management, Sales or Customer Service-related field.
At least 2 years of prior experience with shipping in a
distribution environment.
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material
handling equipment (valid forklift certification is a plus).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Solid understanding of production operations, Quality System Procedures and SOP's, and a good understanding of continuous improvement/LEAN methods.
Proficient with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tools. Have advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Planning/Scheduling experience preferred

Pay Range: $29.00 to $33.00 per hour
