Job Title:HR Specialist
Location:Latrobe, PA - Hybrid
Job Summary:
The Specialist, HR Service Delivery, will serve as a primary point of contact for managers (Manager Services) and employees (Employee Services), providing HR support to assigned plants, business units and/or functions under the general oversight from the Manager, HR Service Delivery. This role will be responsible for resolving day-to-day questions, managing leave of absence cases, troubleshooting HR related questions and inquiries and fostering a positive workplace environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for manager (Manager Services) and/or employee (Employee Services) inquiries, providing timely and professional HR intake and support.
- Manage day-to-day HR questions related to policies, benefits, employee relations, and other HR processes.
- Administer and coordinate leave of absence (LOA) cases, such as FMLA, STD, WC, personal leaves- ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with reviewing and resolving manager and/or employee concerns and issues, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle processes.
- Conduct new hire orientations.
- Help ensure HR practices are consistent across locations and align with organizational values.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR databases and systems in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to the respective HR Shared Service delivery pillar as needed.
- Handles multiple tasks assigned by supervisor, able to prioritize as needed.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; Or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR support role or similar administrative position
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Prior experience with managing or supporting health & welfare and/or retirement benefit administration is strongly preferred
- Must be comfortable traveling between assigned work locations
- Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company environment
