Welder / Fabrication Lead (2nd Shift)

STS Technical Services is hiring a Welder / Fabrication Lead in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a 2nd shift opportunity supporting a growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures used to house fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

This role is ideal for an experienced welding or fabrication professional with strong leadership skills, attention to detail and the ability to help keep production moving safely, accurately and efficiently.

The 2nd Shift Welder / Fabrication Lead will help supervise welding and fabrication operations while ensuring production is completed to specification, quality standards are met and employees work within established safety guidelines.

This position requires hands-on manufacturing leadership experience, strong problem-solving ability and the drive to support a growing production environment.

• Supervise 2nd shift welding and fabrication operations
  
• Ensure production work is completed to specifications
  
• Help maintain 100 percent quality standards
  
• Ensure employees work within established safety guidelines
  
• Monitor employee performance and work output
  
• Troubleshoot production, welding and fabrication issues as needed
  
• Support problem-solving efforts on the shop floor
  
• Maintain attention to detail throughout production activity
  
• Help drive team performance, safety and production success
  

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership position
  
• Welding or fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  
• Ability to monitor employee performance and work output
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Strong drive to succeed
  
• Ability to support a fast-paced production environment
  
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
