Mechanical Maintenance Lead

Pay: $36-$38/hour

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Lead to oversee maintenance, repair, and installation activities in a fast-paced industrial environment. This temporary position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience supporting critical equipment reliability and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily mechanical maintenance, repair, and equipment installation activities
• Assign and coordinate work based on operational priorities and maintenance schedules
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues on pumps, compressors, gearboxes, valves, bearings, hydraulic systems, and rotating equipment
• Perform and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
• Support equipment overhauls, modifications, metal fabrication, and repairs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, quality, and maintenance procedures
• Train, mentor, and support maintenance technicians
• Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, and documentation
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, vendors, and suppliers to complete projects efficiently
• Support emergency repairs, shutdowns, and outage activities as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• 10+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience
• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, valves, and mechanical assemblies
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals
• Experience with metal fabrication, equipment repair, and industrial tools
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed
