The Dealer Health & Market Strategy Manager is responsible for improving dealer network financial performance and identifying market-driven growth opportunities through advanced analytics and strategic insight development. This role combines dealer financial analysis with market intelligence to proactively address profitability gaps and optimize brand and nameplate performance across markets. The position works closely with business management, field teams, and cross-functional partners to translate insights into actionable strategies that drive sales recovery and long-term network health.

Key Responsibilities



  1. Dealer Financial Health & Profitability Improvement



  • Lead dealer financial analysis processes to assess profitability, cost structure, and operational efficiency across the network.
  • Identify key drivers of dealer financial performance, including variable margins, fixed cost absorption, inventory management, and sales mix.
  • Highlight areas of opportunity to improve dealer profitability and overall business sustainability.
  • Partner with the Business Management team to validate findings and align improvement strategies.
  • Support Business Center and field network teams by providing consultative insights and recommendations tailored to individual dealer situations.
  • Assist in translating financial analysis into actionable improvement plans, including operational adjustments and performance levers.
  • Track progress of dealer financial improvements and refine recommendations based on outcomes and evolving performance trends.



  1. Market Strategy & Nameplate Performance Optimization



  • Leverage market data at the brand and nameplate level to monitor performance trends, competitive dynamics, and demand patterns.
  • Identify opportunities and risks across markets, including underperformance versus potential, share erosion, or emerging competitive threats.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of market conditions to understand external factors impacting sales performance (e.g., pricing, incentive positioning, inventory alignment, regional demand shifts).
  • Develop data-driven recommendations to address performance gaps and capitalize on growth opportunities at both market and nameplate levels.
  • Present insights and recommended actions to cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, marketing, incentives, and product teams.
  • Support alignment of market strategies with overall sales objectives and network capabilities.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive retail, dealer financial management, or market strategy.
  • Strong understanding of dealer financial statements, profitability drivers, and retail automotive economics.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, market analysis, and performance diagnostics.
  • Proven ability to synthesize financial and market data into actionable business strategies.
