This position will allow for flexible/hybrid work arrangements. Some duties can be performed remotely, but others will require an in-person presence on the Tucson, Arizona campus.

Duties & Responsibilities

Instructional Technology Integration & Consultation

  • Provides instructor and staff consultations on integrating instructional technologies and the LMS into teaching and learning.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to instructors via phone, email, and Zoom for all supported technologies.
  • Provides guidance on selection, implementation, and integration of instructional technology tools and platforms based on instructional goals.
  • Champions accessibility and universal design principles in instructional technology.
  • Provides guidance to instructors in creating inclusive learning environments.
  • Provide breadth and depth of knowledge of the portfolio of supported instructional technologies.

Professional Development & Training

  • Develop resources and support materials for the campus community.
  • Leads professional development programs and training for instructors and staff.
  • Implements strategic approaches for instructional technology adoption and implementation.
  • Participates in committees related to instructional technology.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Lead or participate in projects related to instructional technology implementation.
  • Serve on cross-functional teams for unit and campus-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate with vendors and campus partners.
  • Communicate with instructors about updates and changes to tools.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of current digital teaching and learning technologies and instructional design.
  • Knowledge of technology integration and implementation within an LMS.
  • Ability to work with staff and instructors to incorporate teaching and learning technologies into courses and/or programs to enhance the learner experience.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely, with critical attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact within a multicultural community.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to stay current with new technologies and maintain proficiency with current tools.
  • Knowledge of pedagogical practices related to instructional technologies.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
