Store hours:Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (start & end times may vary) Location: Mizzou Pharmacy - Cinnamon Hill Lane; 1450 Cinnamon Hill Lane, Columbia, Missouri * Base Pay Range: o $16.68 - $26.31/hour, based on experience o CERTIFIED $19.15 - $30.23/hour, based on experience * Shift Differentials: o Additional $1.25 per hour for Evening shift o Additional $1.50 per hour for Weekend shift * Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 o Note: Details will be provided during the HR interview. ABOUT THE JOB Join our dynamic Mizzou Pharmacy team as an Inventory Pharmacy Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of our new Pharmacy Services Center. In this position, you will help ensure that medications and pharmacy supplies are accurately received, tracked, stored, and distributed, and that automated dispensing systems are loaded and replenished. The Inventory Pharmacy Technician will also be responsible for performing daily cycle counts to maintain accurate perpetual inventory and supporting inventory integrity throughout the facility maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you will be responsible for receiving daily shipments, sorting and shelving medications, and maintaining organized inventory to support uninterrupted pharmacy operations. Additional responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, managing expired and short-dated medications, coordinating product returns and recalls, and assisting with inventory optimization efforts to ensure efficient and cost-effective pharmacy operations. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and transporting medication totes and supplies throughout the Pharmacy Services Center may be required. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and other pharmacy employees. Provide on-the-job training to new personnel and assist in evaluating the progress of new employees. Receive prescriptions, complete data entry of prescription orders in the pharmacy dispensing software, and adjudicate third-party insurance claims. Prepare and label prescriptions consistent with state and federal labeling guidelines. Conduct point-of-sale transactions that require proper cash handling, offer patient counseling, and comply with all out-window procedures for patient safety. Answer telephones and handle calls that do not require the personal attention of a pharmacist. Deliver quality customer service in all interactions with patients. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must apply prior to hire for Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation.
