Our Private Sector Enterprise has an immediate opening for a full-time entry-level scientist or engineer to join our Compliance and Permitting team, specifically as a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Report Writer. We are seeking a motivated, organized individual who can help us fulfill our commitment to deliver client success on each and every project we undertake. You will work with and be trained by nationally recognized, senior technical staff.

ThePhase I ESA Due Diligence Report Writer rolewillassistin conducting regulatory gap analysis toidentifyareas of non-compliance.The rolewill support the preparation of permit applications andparticipatein multi-media environmental audits and assessments.Therole will include providing compliance support and reporting to ensure adherence to environmental regulations. Additionally,the rolewill help develop tools and standards to streamline compliance processes.Thisroleis expected to explain facts, policies, and practices related to the job area with limited authority.

Responsibilities



  • Carry out regulatory gap analysis under supervision.
  • Assistin strategic permit planning.
  • Helpwith permit application preparation.
  • Participate in multi-media environmental audits and assessments.
  • Contribute to compliance support and reporting tasks.
  • Support agency negotiations under the guidance of experienced personnel.
  • Learn and contribute to environmental liability and risk reduction practices.
  • Assistin the development of tools and standards in compliance and permitting.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute variousadditionalassignments based on evolving needs.


Skills and Competencies



  • Basic understanding of regulatory gap analysis, strategicpermitplanning, and permit application preparation.
  • Initial knowledge of multimedia environmental audits and assessments.
  • Foundational skills in compliance support and reporting.
  • Awarenessaboutagency negotiation and environmental liability and risk reduction.


Experience



  • Typically,0-2years ofrelated work experience in compliance &permittingor related fieldisrequired.


  • Encouraged tocertify inthe SMS Framework in the first six months of being in this role.


Education



  • A bachelor's degreeinenvironmental science, engineering, orrelatedfieldorequivalent experience isrequired.



Preferred Skills and Experience



  • History of supporting Phase I ESA Due Diligence projects is preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and basic computer skills required
  • Basic GIS skills a plus
  • Permitting and compliance experience preferred with knowledge of local, state and federal environmental regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience conducting site reconnaissance, field observations, and documentation for environmental due diligence projects
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus



Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $64,00 - $87,000
Location B: $71,000 - $96,000
Location C: $77,000 - $105,000
