Job Description

Benefits:

Salary:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $70,000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary:

The Technical Sales Administrator is a customer facing role and is a First Point of Contact for prospective customers and internal colleagues contacting the business unit for commercial purposes, with additional responsibilities related to account management, recordkeeping, cost estimating, and monthly sales reporting. They are responsible to grow and service key house accounts. Additionally, they will maintain CRM integrity and collaborate with the Business Development Team to grow prospective sales pipeline. This person will develop a broad array of packaging and product knowledge and should be eager to learn.

Essential Functions:

  • Handles inbound lead qualification and account management for house accounts, including some outbound lead generation activities (e.g., identifying and qualifying leads, capturing and recording key customer information, and transitioning key leads to the Business Development Team).
  • Develops account relationships and grows revenue within assigned portfolio of house accounts, as well as development of new house accounts and reach back customers.
  • Responsible for CRM data integrity. Will work closely with the sales team and Business Development manager to maintain customer records and sales process status.
  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders in a manner that reflects professionalism, product knowledge and trust.
  • Generate monthly and ad-hoc reports utilized by the commercial team.
  • Serves as an effective cross-functional liaison between internal departments and customers to coordinate sales activities.
  • Participates in Training & Development opportunities to continually improve, upgrade performance, and career development and advancement.
  • Acts as a dedicated account manager to all responsible accounts, providing sales and product support to the field with the highest level of courtesy, honesty, and integrity.
  • Provides Cost Estimating support to Engineered Solutions products.
  • Some travel required.
Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree or college course work preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of custom designed sales or technical customer relations experience. Direct/Distribution sales in packaging or similar manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable cold calling customers for business.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of ERPs, CRMs, or Sales Management Software.
