This position plays a critical role in advancing effective curriculum operations by leading college-level curriculum management, catalog administration, policy compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

The Assistant Registrar serves as the functional lead for curriculum-related registrar operations within CALS. This position ensures that curriculum data, course approvals, catalog content, degree requirement coding, governance actions, and related student-facing processes are accurate, timely, compliant, and aligned with university, state, federal, and accrediting requirements.

The Assistant Registrar works closely with faculty, academic departments, curriculum committees, college leadership, and university partners to support thoughtful curriculum development and continuous improvement. This role provides expertise in curriculum policy interpretation, governance processes, and systems coordination while helping translate academic goals into compliant, student-centered, and operationally effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead curriculum operations for CALS, including course proposal management, curriculum governance support, catalog updates, and curricular compliance review.

  • Interpret and apply institutional policies, academic regulations, and external requirements to support effective curriculum decision-making.

  • Coordinate curriculum systems and processes that impact degree audits, enrollment, reporting, and student academic pathways.

  • Partner with faculty, course coordinators, academic leaders, and governance groups to facilitate curriculum development and implementation.

  • Collaborate with the Office of the University Registrar, Enrollment Compliance and Design, Institutional Research and Planning, and other campus partners to ensure accurate and consistent curriculum information.

  • Analyze curriculum data and workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and enhanced service delivery.

  • Support the adoption of curriculum-related technologies, development of training resources, and implementation of new or revised processes.

  • Contribute to staff development and training for registrar team members.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), three-year term Contract College position based in Ithaca, NY, with the possibility of extension. This position follows a 4:1 campus-to-home hybrid work arrangement. This hybrid work arrangement is subject to change at any time. Work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am-3:30pm on Fridays.
