About the Opportunity We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a fast-paced sales and distribution team within a leading manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer support, managing orders from entry through invoicing, analyzing inventory and customer demand, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential. Many individuals who successfully complete the contract period have transitioned into permanent positions within the organization. Key Responsibilities * Manage customer purchase orders from order entry through invoicing using SAP and related business systems. * Handle customer inquiries, requests, complaints, and forecast information in a timely and professional manner. * Analyze inventory levels and customer demand to support accurate forecasting and product availability. * Partner closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Logistics, and Distribution teams to meet customer needs. * Maintain customer records and generate reports as needed. * Coordinate with third-party warehouses and proactively communicate shipment updates, delays, and delivery status. * Build strong relationships with customers and internal business partners. * Participate in customer forecast meetings and enter forecast data into SAP. * Provide backup support to team members as needed. * Support a high-volume email environment while also assisting with customer phone inquiries. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree required (Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred). * 1-2+ years of customer service, sales support, supply chain, manufacturing, retail, or restaurant experience. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. * Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities. * Ability to prioritize work effectively and perform under tight deadlines. * Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications * Experience using SAP and/or Salesforce (training provided). * Previous experience supporting inventory management, demand planning, logistics, or order processing functions.
