Patient Registration Representative Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Patient Registration Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this role, you will create a welcoming experience while ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and coordination of patient services. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities * Greet patients, visitors, and business partners in a professional and courteous manner. * Facilitate patient flow from arrival through check-in and destination in a timely and efficient manner. * Locate and verify patient information within the electronic medical records (EMR) system. * Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification with a high level of accuracy. * Support patient checkout processes and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. * Answer patient questions regarding laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology services. * Maintain excellent customer service during in-person and telephone interactions. * Ensure patient information is documented accurately and confidentially. * Assist patients with navigation throughout the clinic and provide general support as needed. * Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience. Qualifications Required * Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. * Strong customer service and patient-facing communication skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. * Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changing situations. * Proven de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills. * Commitment to providing compassionate and professional service. Preferred * Experience in a healthcare, medical office, or patient registration setting. * Familiarity with medical terminology. * Experience working with EMR/EHR systems. * Knowledge of insurance verification processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
