Patient Scheduling Coordinator / Dental Patient Services Representative *Location:* Onsite
*Employment Type:* Full-Time *Experience Level:* Experienced Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused *Patient Scheduling Coordinator* to support a busy dental healthcare environment. This role is responsible for managing the patient registration process, coordinating appointments, accepting referrals, verifying dental procedures and codes, and serving as a liaison between patients and dental providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience working in a healthcare or dental setting. Key Responsibilities * Complete patient registration and intake processes by collecting demographic and insurance information. * Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. * Receive and process patient referrals accurately and efficiently. * Verify dental codes and ensure proper documentation for services. * Determine appropriate fees, collect payments, and process transactions. * Provide exceptional customer service to patients in person and over the phone. * Serve as a liaison between patients and dental students/providers to ensure a positive patient experience. * Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed. * Assist with insurance verification and third-party reimbursement processes. * Prepare daily bank deposits and balance payment collections. * Utilize Microsoft Office and scheduling systems to manage patient information and appointments. * Handle sensitive patient information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards. Required Qualifications * Minimum of *2 years of experience in a healthcare setting or related field*. * Minimum of *2 years of customer service experience*. * Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and email. * Experience with patient scheduling and registration. * Knowledge of insurance verification and third-party reimbursement processes. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Comfortable using a 10-key calculator, credit card machine, and payment processing systems. Preferred Qualifications * Dental office experience strongly preferred. * Experience working with dental procedure codes and scheduling systems. * Familiarity with patient billing, collections, and insurance claims.
