The Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Engineering team, aunit withintheOptum InsightTechnologyorganizationis responsible forbuilding commercial productshelping payers and providerswith administrative and clinician focusedCDS solutions.We are seeking anengineerwho can bring deepexpertiseacross software, data, and AI/ML disciplinesto enhance existing CDSsolutionsas well ascontribute tothe development of exciting new products.CDS is an area that truly touches payers, providers,as well as members and one where you can havea huge impacton improving the healthcare system for everyone.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute toa team of software engineers in the development of high-quality software
  • Design, develop, and test software applicationsin accordance withestablishedenterprisestandards and best practices
  • Collaborate withother engineerstowork through productrequirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Stayup-to-datewith the latest industry trends and technologies, and incorporate them into the development process
  • Participate in the planning and estimation of development tasks and projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, information technology OR 4 + years of Software Engineering experience
  • 2+years of experience in the software engineering profession
  • 2+years of development experience with languages such as Java, .NET, or Python
  • 2+yearsof development experience with front-end technologies such as ReactJS, Angular, or Typescript

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • 1+ years of AI/ML development experience
  • 1+ years of Healthcare Industry experience
  • 2+ years of Public Cloud experience
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
