DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position helps the Road User Charge Unit keep vehicle records accurate, organized, and updated for electric and hybrid vehicle owners. It includes processing payments, updating lists, creating reminders, and supporting program needs. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Record Updates: Update vehicle lists with payments, registration dates, and maintenance of EV and PHEV records
- Reminder Creation: Prepare and send 30-day, 60-day, 90-day, and final reminder notices for overdue RUC payments
- Payment Processing: Process Road User Charge payments that do not update through automated systems
- Compliance Actions: Apply and remove stop codes for registrants based on RUC payment status
- Program Support: Assist with planning and implementing phases of the RUC program
- General Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support unit operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
