Production Test Engineer Location: Eugene, Oregon Status: Full time, Exempt Rate of Pay: $94k-$105k -D.O.E. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future Position Summary: Rosen Aviation is seeking a Production Test Engineer to help us develop the next generation of aircraft cabin systems. This position is responsible for developing and improving sub-assembly and product test processes used to ensure products function as designed. Will work with suppliers to ensure maximum test coverage and with engineering from very early in the development process to ensure designs are as testable as possible. The right candidate will:
- Implement and design test-fixtures, testing tools, processes and improvements both at the PCBA and TLA levels.
- Actively assist in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for failures at the manufacturing, repair, customer and PCBA supplier.
- Coordinate with Quality and Reliability data of recurring component failures found in testing and in the field to determine and recommend design and manufacturing improvements.
- Develop, implement, improve and maintain golden unit fixtures for repair station and supplier testing programs.
- Production, repair and supplier testing training for all legacy and new test tools, fixtures and products.
- Documentation development.
Physical, Ergonomic & Environmental Considerations:
- Primarily works in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances
- Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment
- Occasionally move materials weighing up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Occasionally enters the factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals and machinery
- Occasionally moves about the test laboratory to access devices under test, test equipment, EMI chamber and thermal test chamber
- Occasionally operates engineering test equipment such as a force gauge, multi-meter, oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer
- Occasionally works with potentially hazardous electrical potentials while observing appropriate safety precautions
- Occasionally assembles and modifies electronic components using hand tools, soldering and de-soldering tools
- Regular travel required (30%)

Rosen Aviation is an EEOC, Drug and Alcohol-free Workplace Qualifications and Critical Skills:
- Associate's degree and 7 years of electromechanical test development experience; a bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field will meet 2 of the 7 years of the experience requirement
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience in POS and ESS for reliability programs
- Subject Matter Expert in manufacturing testing
- Experienced in designing and customizing electrical and mechanical test fixtures and jigs
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of internal and external customers on complex and multi-faceted issues
