Taping and Reel worker

POSITION SUMMARY:

• The Taping Worker position is responsible for properly sealing, embedding, and taping products per customer drawings, requirements, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform bench-type processes to complete taping, using hand tools.
• Following established methods and procedures, must be able to perform, but not limited to the following operations necessary to tape strips: read job traveler, create parts to sample given by supervisor, safely use utility knife.
• Use and be familiar with tape and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of work experience desired in a manufacturing environment.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by management.

• As a member of the Quality Management System, quality procedures, requirements, work instructions, and other required documentation must be followed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Works primarily in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes with moderate noise. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.
• Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, and reaching.
• PPE required may include safety glasses and gloves in designated areas of the facility.
