Job Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading large-scale, high-impact, cross-functional technology initiatives and may oversee multiple concurrent projects. This role provides end-to-end project leadership, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business outcomes. The Senior IT Project Manager serves as a strategic partner to business and technology leaders, mentors project management team members, and drives continuous improvement in project delivery standards and methodologies.

Job Responsibilities



  • Lead large-scale, complex, and strategically important IT projects across multiple business units.
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and outcomes.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, vendors, and delivery partners.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for project risks, issues, dependencies, and critical decisions.
  • Partner with senior business and technology leaders to establish priorities, resolve conflicts, and ensure organizational alignment.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level status reports, dashboards, presentations, and project communications.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Drive project governance activities and ensure adherence to project management standards and delivery frameworks.
  • Contribute to portfolio planning, prioritization, and strategic initiative discussions.
  • Mentor and coach project managers and team members to support professional development and delivery excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, metrics, and methodologies.
  • Operate independently with minimal direction and proactively identify and address project needs and challenges.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of enterprise-scale technology initiatives.
  • Proven success delivering large, complex projects in regulated or highly matrixed environments.
  • Strong expertise in Agile, hybrid, and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Advanced financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to quickly learn new processes and contribute with minimal training.
  • Demonstrated ownership, initiative, adaptability, and receptiveness to coaching and feedback.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.


Certifications



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • SAFe, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach, or similar Agile certifications preferred.
