Position Summary

The Implementation / Project Manager is responsible for leading customer-facing implementation and clinical adoption of high medical value (HMV) assays, including VIDAS NCK and TBI, with a future focus on point-of-care solutions (e.g., SPIN chip platform).This role is the primary liaison between customers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment, training, and use of diagnostic solutions. The position plays a critical role in driving clinical, operational, and commercial success by aligning implementation strategy with sales objectives, optimizing customer experience, and supporting go-to-market (G2M) execution.

Primary Duties Customer Implementation & Project Management
  • Lead and drive end-to-end implementation of VIDAS NCK and TBI assays across healthcare systems, including laboratory, ED, ICU, and clinical stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing project manager, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met
  • Drive clinical and operational alignment through structured engagement with nurses, physicians, laboratory personnel, and hospital leadership to drive alignment and adoption
  • Conduct customer assessment at 30-, 60-, 120-, and 180-day post go-live to report on progress, utilization, and outcomes on all new customers
  • Partner with the customer to ensure accurate, timely, and clinically actionable results within established workflows
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to internal processes and quality standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Customer Training & Education (Point-of-Care Focus)
  • Deliver high-quality training and education to laboratory personnel, clinicians, and healthcare providers as needed
  • Support future point-of-care initiatives, including training strategy and field readiness for SPIN chip platform
  • Ensure customers are fully equipped to adopt and integrate assays into clinical workflows
  • Provide on-site onboarding, training, and implementation support for new accounts (5-7 days at a time across multiple shifts as needed)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Clinical Operations, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Marketing, and Corporate Accounts teams
  • Utilize and support the Customer Implementation Process (CIP), while refining and enhancing best practices
  • Lead internal and external implantation calls to ensure alignment as the opportunity progresses
  • Maintain proactive communication across teams to drive accountability and execution
Commercial & Market Support
  • Support sales efforts by identifying and advancing opportunities through strategic implementation planning
  • Coordinate peer-to-peer clinical engagements to support adoption and market development
  • Contribute to the go-to-market (G2M) strategy, particularly for the upcoming SPIN chip implementation
  • Representing the organization at tradeshows, conferences, and market development events when needed
  • Partner with corporate account managers and HMV specialists in the field to build awareness and clinical adoption of HMV assays
  • Participate in pre-sale activities, including ride-along, account planning, and targeted customer engagements
Account & Channel Support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and key stakeholders in the targeted account base
  • Support engagement and performance of third-party sales channels as needed
  • Provide field-based insights to optimize product positioning, utilization, and customer success
  • Provide field support across territories as needed, including coverage for open and underserved regions
  • Maintain continuity of customer engagement and implementation progress in partnership with commercial teams
Qualifications Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience, which may include may include sales, customer-facing commercial support, field application support, clinical laboratory consulting, technical support, or other customer engagement experience within the in vitro diagnostics (IVD), medical device, life sciences, or healthcare industry.
  • Experience working within hospital environments (laboratory, ED, ICU) strongly preferred
  • Point-of-care experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, customer-facing projects

Working Conditions
  • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like
  • No requirement to operate heavy machinery or move objects up to 50 pounds
  • May require masking while working in client hospital locations for extended periods
  • Requires conducting client visits, including safe operation of motor vehicles, accessing customer facilities, and frequent air travel
Travel Requirements
  • Domestic travel required: 50% of time
The estimated salary range for this field-based role is between $83,500 - $134,500. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
