Program: Grant-Funded Bridge Clinic for Uninsured and Underinsured Individuals
Work Schedule

  • Part-time with a flexible schedule based on clinic operations and grant requirements.


Key Responsibilities


Clinic Operations & Infrastructure

  • Develop, implement, and maintain clinic policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Work with CaTalyst Clinic Medical Director to configure and optimize the electronic health record (EHR) to support clinical workflows, documentation, and reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and coordination of students placed in the clinic and other volunteers.
  • Manage supply inventory and order medical and operational supplies.
  • Assist with program evaluation data collection and analysis including care utilization patterns and care management activities conducted by students.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality

  • Oversee regulatory and practice compliance, including documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, infection control, and scope of practice.
  • Lead quality improvement and risk management activities.

Learners, Volunteers & Academic Partnerships

  • Work with SON Faculty to develop and manage onboarding, orientation, credentialing, and scheduling processes for learners, preceptors, and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with academic partners to support high-quality clinical education experiences.

Community Partnerships & Resources
  • Coordinate with community providers and agencies to support care continuity and access.
Evaluation, Data & Reporting

  • Assist in development and implementation of the program evaluation plan.
  • Identify performance metrics; oversee data collection and analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly reports for university leadership, funders, and community stakeholders.

Outreach & Marketing

  • Work with internal departments for development and distribution of marketing materials
  • Support patient recruitment and community awareness in alignment with program outreach strategies

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position

  • Strong clinical leadership and operational management skills
  • Ability to build systems, processes, and partnerships in a startup or bridge-clinic environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Commitment to health equity, access to care, and community-based service delivery


Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing
  • 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in primary care, community health, or care management
  • Experience working with uninsured, underinsured, or underserved populations


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Clinical leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience with grant-funded health programs and reporting
  • Familiarity with EHR implementation or optimization
  • Experience with academic-practice partnerships and learner supervision
  • Knowledge of rural health systems and resources in Western North Carolina
