Don't hesitate to apply. The right candidate will be responsible for assisting the shop foreman with daily job documentation and supervision over a team of steel fabricators and welders. Ultimately, you will enhance our company's quality goals and processes that contribute to its growth. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises fabrication equipment safety, training and maintenance. Supervises fabrication operations (welding, steel fitting, dimensional inspections). Co-ordinates and interfaces between fabrication/installation and pre-fabrication activities. Co-ordinates sub-contractors involved in the assembly stages. Ensures compliance with safety procedures and quality standards. Searches for the most efficient technical solutions. Assures Materials meet specification. REQUIREMENTS Must have working knowledge of codes & standards such as ASME IX, AISC building standard, and AWS inspection procedures specifically to D1.1 / D17.1. Have an Associate's or BS degree in a technical field or extensive structural steel fabrication construction experience. Have a minimum 5-7 years fabrication, inspection, and welding, experience for a company that has AISC certification. Have strong working knowledge of construction contracts, contractor inspection procedures and construction work sequences for steel fabrication and erection.
