Novanta is seeking a Transfer Pricing Manager to support and scale our global transfer pricing compliance and operations. This role will own core recurring TP workflows, including quarterly adjustment calculations, documentation review, forecast support, and process standardization, while providing targeted support on international tax matters such as BEAT, FDII/FDDEI, GILTI, and Pillar Two. This position is well suited for a candidate with strong transfer pricing fundamentals, project and process management skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Accounting, FP&A, business finance, operations, and external advisors.
- Prepare and support quarterly and year-end transfer pricing adjustments, true-ups, and related workpapers.
- Own recurring TP processes, including documentation tracking, advisor coordination, intercompany agreement maintenance, and related workpapers.
- Coordinate transfer pricing inputs into the quarterly forecast and close processes, partnering with Accounting and FP&A to ensure timely, accurate data.
- Review and organize documentation supporting intercompany pricing, service charges, royalties, and other related-party transactions.
- Provide support on international tax matters including BEAT, FDII/FDDEI, GILTI, and Pillar Two modeling and compliance.
- Support preparation or review of international tax forms (e.g., Form 5471, 5472, 8858, Canadian T1134, T106, etc.) and coordinate with local advisors on related filing obligations.
- Assist with transfer pricing audit support and responses to tax authority inquiries as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI tools, standardized templates, and stronger tracking processes.
- 4+ years of experience in transfer pricing, international tax, or a closely related field.
- Solid understanding of transfer pricing concepts, intercompany transactions, and documentation requirements.
- Experience preparing or reviewing transfer pricing calculations, adjustments, documentation, and related analyses.
- Proficiency in Excel with comfort working across large data sets, trackers, and process-oriented workpapers.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple workstreams.
- Effective communicator able to work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, business partners, and external advisors.
- Detail-oriented with emphasis on documentation quality, accuracy, and review readiness.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle) and experience with or interest in process improvement tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or AI-assisted workflows.
- Recurring transfer pricing processes are clearly owned and consistently executed on time.
- Trackers, calendars, and support files are current and audit-ready.
- Quarterly TP adjustments and forecast inputs are prepared with fewer last-minute issues.
- Documentation and advisor coordination are more standardized and predictable.
- Issues are surfaced early and resolved pragmatically.
- Over time, the role expands to provide meaningful support on adjacent international tax compliance items.

Compensation
- The salary for this role will range from 109,800.00 - 175,600.00 USD annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.
- Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
