This position works with both pre-operative and post-anesthesia care (PACU) patients, helping prepare individuals for surgery and assisting with their recovery afterward. The department includes 10 pre-op beds and 18 PACU beds, with a typical patient-to-PCT ratio of 8:1. As a Patient Care Technician, you will work closely with a collaborative and highly supportive team of nurses, anesthesia providers, physicians, and fellow PCTs to deliver exceptional patient care. This position is a full-time, 40 hour a week, Day shift position working Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a varied day off with no weekend requirement. Schedules are created six weeks in advance, providing consistency and work-life balance while offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients during an important stage of their care. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
