This position is responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining intelligent software solutions and operational reports that aid the Technical Operations division and automate its Business processes, acting as what's commonly referred to as a "citizen developer."

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Work closely with Tech Ops stakeholders to identify processes and procedures that are candidates for automation through software and/or reporting means
  • Design, develop, and maintain a stable, flexible Business Intelligence Solutions environment that supports the Tech Ops division
  • Support and help maintain a stable operational reporting environment that facilitates Business decisions and aids Business processes
  • Identify opportunities for a unified, integrated framework that consolidates data and workflows, to provide a measurable improvement to departmental efficiency
  • Act as liaison between the IT software development teams and the Tech Ops "citizen developers," ensuring that we maintain visibility of recommended SDLC protocol
  • Practice and promote 'best practices' methodologies, sharing insights and ideas with other developers, both in IT and on the Business side
  • Support efforts to periodically upgrade all Tech Ops Support environments, to take advantage of the latest technologies, and avoid end-of-support / obsolescence scenarios
  • Look for opportunities to consolidate existing technologies and deprecate unused ones
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, M&E System Administration & Technical Operations Support, including administration assistance with our M&E application


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role


  • Fluency in SQL, specifically T-SQL and PL/SQL dialects
  • Familiarity with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) development, particularly with Excel


  • Familiarity with C# and .NET Framework/Core platforms
  • Familiarity with basic web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
  • Basic knowledge of tools/technologies used to support automated and/or artificially intelligent workflows, such as Workflow Engines, Rules Engines, and machine learning solutions


  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Db, and at least some of the following applications: Microsoft Report Builder, SSMS, SSIS, Tableau, Powershell, Databricks
  • Knowledge of Big Data, Cloud storage techniques, and NoSQL databases
  • Well-versed in industry standard software architectural patterns, data modeling, and database design practices


  • Advanced aptitude in problem solving, including the ability to logically structure an appropriate analytical framework
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines


Preferences:



  • Familiarity with the Technical Operations of an airline, particularly with Finance/Accounting and Supply Chain & Logistics

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range
$87,500 $117,500 USD
