The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) seeks a dynamic, student-centered, and forward-thinking Administrative Assistant to provide visionary leadership

The administrative assistant to AFROTC supports cadre an cadets in a variety of administrative and clerical capacities. These include ordering instructional supplies, maintaining the budget, coordinating battalion activities with university constituents, supporting cadets' needs, and supervising student workers where appropriate.

The administrative assistant reports to the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Primary Job Functions, Duties, or Accountabilities:

  • Support AFROTC cadre including scheduling meetings, responding to phone calls and emails, arrange travel, and other duties as assigned.
  • Program budget support, including ordering supplies and tracking and reconciling expenses.
  • Cadet support, including addressing inquires, scheduling meetings, coordinating with the registrar's office, and recruiting and hiring student workers.
  • Promotional activities, including coordinating with the office of brand management to promote the ROTC.

  • High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math.
  • 1-3 years of Administrative experience
