Position Summary

Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Operations Lead Person provides day-to-day leadership and operational support for assigned manufacturing areas. This position coordinates workflow, supports production schedules, mentors team members, monitors process performance, and helps ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.

The role requires strong manufacturing knowledge, sound decision-making, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with operations, planning, quality, materials, maintenance, and supervision. The Operations Lead Person is expected to model Parker's values, promote accountability, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily leadership and direction to production team members to support manufacturing priorities, customer requirements, and operational goals.
  • Coordinate work assignments, production flow, and resource utilization to help meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity targets.
  • Support execution of the production plan by monitoring job status, material availability, equipment readiness, and labor allocation.
  • Serve as a first point of support for team members by answering questions, resolving routine production issues, and escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Promote and reinforce safe work practices, proper use of PPE, housekeeping standards, and compliance with company safety policies.
  • Support quality performance by ensuring adherence to work instructions, inspection requirements, process standards, and documentation expectations.
  • Assist with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, standard work adherence, 5S, visual management, and process improvement activities.
  • Monitor inventory movement, material usage, and transaction accuracy to support reliable production execution and inventory control.
  • Perform and verify required Oracle system transactions, which may include work order activity, material movement, inventory adjustments, labor reporting, or related production transactions.
  • Communicate production status, constraints, quality issues, material shortages, and improvement opportunities to supervision and cross-functional partners.
  • Mentor, train, and coach team members to strengthen technical capability, process discipline, and overall team performance.
  • Support onboarding and skills development for operators through hands-on guidance and reinforcement of standard work.
  • Assist with troubleshooting production flow issues and recommend practical corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records, production documentation, and operational data as required.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, urgency, and a strong commitment to Parker's operational standards.

  • Outstanding communication skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

  • Prior leadership/supervisory experience.

  • Prior experience with material/inventory management.
