The Opportunity

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking an Instructional Technology and Events Coordinator to manage the daily operations of the David L. Call Alumni Auditorium-one of CALS' premier teaching and event spaces.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career technology professional who enjoys solving problems, working directly with customers, and supporting a wide variety of events and academic programs. In this role, you'll be the go-to resource for auditorium technology, event support, classroom operations, and customer engagement while helping create exceptional experiences for faculty, students, staff, alumni, guest speakers, and visitors.

No two days are the same. One day you may be supporting a large symposium with live-streaming and lecture capture, and the next you may be helping faculty use new instructional technologies or coordinating student staff coverage for a high-profile event.

This is a fully in person-full-time position at 39 hours per week, located in Ithaca, NY.

  • Use 25Live and other campus systems to schedule and support activities within the auditorium.

  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise student employees.

  • Support a wide range of customers, including faculty, student organizations, administrative offices, conference organizers, and university leadership.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service while balancing policy, operational requirements, and customer needs.
