Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden, School of Arts and Sciences, Dean's Office, seeks an Administrative Coordinator. The Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the School of Arts and Sciences. Reporting to the Director of Administrative Operations, this position provides high-level administrative, project coordination, and operational support to the Dean's Office while serving as a central point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
As part of a collaborative administrative team, the Administrative Coordinator helps facilitate the effective functioning of the school by coordinating projects, managing communications, supporting meetings and events, maintaining confidential records, and assisting with a variety of operational processes. The position regularly interacts with academic and administrative units across the School and University, requiring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The Administrative Coordinator handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism and serves as a liaison between the Dean's Office and internal and external constituents. The successful candidate will be customer-service oriented, proactive, and committed to supporting the school's mission, strategic priorities, and commitment to student success, academic excellence, and community engagement.
The School of Arts and Sciences is the largest academic unit on campus, encompassing multiple academic departments, interdisciplinary programs, research centers, and hundreds of faculty and staff. This position contributes to the effective administration of a complex academic environment that serves a diverse student population and supports teaching, research, and community engagement initiatives.

Salary Details Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.

Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, plus a minimum of two years relevant experience in higher education or related fields. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, facilitation, and/or report writing.

Equipment Utilized
Position will utilize a wide variety of programs to perform functions of the position. Individual must be able to learn and adapt to new programs/software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Position is largely computer-based and sedentary in nature. May require occasional night and/or weekend hours.
