- Conduct comprehensive UX research activities, including competitor analysis, heuristic evaluations, user interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability testing.
- Create detailed journey maps and other essential UX artifacts to pinpoint customer pain points and identify opportunities for impactful improvements.
- Translate complex research findings, business requirements, and diverse customer needs into clear, actionable, and user-centered design solutions.
- Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity digital designs using Figma, with a meticulous focus on usability, information architecture, interaction design, and visual quality.
- Consistently apply established design system principles and components across all digital experiences to ensure brand coherence and efficiency.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Product, Engineering, Marketing, UX Writing, and other partners throughout the entire design and development lifecycle.
- Work closely with engineers to effectively communicate design intent, address implementation questions, and proactively consider technical constraints and future states.
- Actively participate in design reviews, thoughtfully incorporating feedback from product, engineering, legal, marketing, and various other stakeholders.
- Utilize usability testing and performance data to rigorously evaluate designs and identify continuous opportunities for enhancement.
- Contribute to the evolution of team processes, documentation, and design standards, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities within a dynamic, fast-paced Agile development environment.
- Demonstrate adaptability by seamlessly integrating into projects at different stages and refining designs based on evolving requirements and feedback.
- Explore and strategically incorporate AI tools and techniques to enhance the design process, research methodologies, and overall user experience.
- Stay continuously current with the latest UX/UI tools, design practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a cutting-edge approach.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional UX/UI or product design experience, demonstrating hands-on expertise across both user experience and visual/UI design.
- Proven experience working effectively in fast-paced, Agile product development environments.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, encompassing wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design capabilities.
- Extensive experience working with and actively contributing to established design systems.
- Working knowledge of various user research methods and practical experience with usability testing.
- Demonstrated ability to translate research insights, customer feedback, business requirements, and performance data into practical and effective design solutions.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals.
- Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of front-end development concepts and frameworks.
- Experience using Agile development tools and processes.
- Familiarity with analytics and performance tools such as Hotjar, FullStory, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and effectively incorporate feedback.
- Ability to skillfully manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the financial services, fintech, or banking industries.
- Experience with Storybook and/or Chromatic.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and development workflows.
- Experience incorporating AI tools into UX research or design workflows.
- Experience working with analytics or product performance data.
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating a range of UX/UI work from initial research and wireframes through final designs and prototypes.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is approximately $55/hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
