Additional Information:

• Assist surgeons with in-office orthopedic procedures.

• Assist with patient intake and the rooming process.

• Educate patients and families on conditions and DME.

• Obtain medical clearances for surgical patients and prior authorizations for surgery, DME, and medications.

• Assist with patient physical examinations and laboratory draws.

• Coordination and scheduling of outpatient surgical procedures.

• Schedules appointments and responds to and prioritizes incoming patient calls as needed.

• Telephone interactions require assessment and patient education.

• Responds to patient questions appropriately, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.

• Maintains accurate and detailed records with pertinent information and education within Epic.

• Utilizes current nursing practice to provide patient-focused care while exemplifying service excellence, care, concern, respect, and cooperation.

• Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed.

• Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of ConductGuidelines.
