      Who You Are...

      As VDC Detailer, you will be responsible for supporting the VDC department in the creation of installation documents and transmission of data for field installers.

      This Position...

      Some examples of the work you might do includes:



      • Assists in the development of HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing VDC Models.
      • Performs new project setups/sheet creation/filter creation.
      • Processes and cleans Revit model exports for 2D CAD backgrounds for use in Autocad.
      • Executes application site set ups, including Google Drive, BIM 360 products, and company FTP sites.
      • Imports MAJ files from the Estimating Department into Revit models for pre-population purposes.
      • Tags and dimension HVAC/Piping/Plumbing drawings for field installers.
      • Assists with project closeouts, including drawing and file archival.
      • Prioritizes and encourages safety while executing work tasks, especially when at a construction site.


      What You Need...



      • 1-2 years of industry-specific experience OR Trade school completion or Associate's Degree in a related field.
      • Working knowledge of AutoCad, Revit, and Navisworks.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel in particular).
      • Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences.
      • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
      • Capacity to effectively work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
      • Ability to travel occasionally to local job sites.


      Preferred Qualifications:



      • Trade school completion or Associate's Degree in a related field.

      Work Environment:



      • This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, plotters, and printers.
      • Work tasks may occasionally be performed at local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to outside weather and conditions typically associated with a construction site.


      Physical Demands:



      • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
      • This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
