Production Planner/Scheduler (Medical Device)

Job Purpose:

Our Carrollton facility is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler for our Medical Device manufacturing operations. Responsible forcoordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:



  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor products through the complete production cycle based on customer orders and delivery requirements
  • Work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements


  • Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules


  • Make or recommend revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules cannot be met


  • Reschedule rework, unfinished parts, and assemblies, new production releases, and special orders


  • Establish effective communication with various departments as necessary to meet production requirements



Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processes
  • A strong background in MRP
  • An understanding of master scheduling and forecasting processes
  • Working knowledge of FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485 and ability to understand other medical device regulations and standards
  • Preferred experience with electronic multi level builds who iswilling to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
  • A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.
