Our client is looking for a hands-on Paid Search Specialist to join their team on a 6-month contract to optimize paid search campaigns across several Retail accounts. This is an execution-heavy role best suited for someone who has cut their teeth in an agency environment and lives inside Google Ads on a daily basis.

What You'll Do



  • Analyze, optimize, and manage Google Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax) campaigns from the ground up, including keyword research, ad copywriting, and bid strategy
  • Monitor daily performance and make optimization recommendations (bids, budgets, negative keywords, ad copy testing, audience targeting)
  • Help compile weekly/monthly reporting - pull data, provide light analysis, and translate performance into digestible insights
  • Suggest A/B tests on ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies
  • Manage campaign budgets and pacing across multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Support lead strategists with rhythm of business tasks like WBRs/ MBRs/QBRs, post launch analysis, and other business performance
  • Stay current on Google Ads platform updates, betas, and industry best practices
  • Assist with Microsoft/Bing Ads as needed (secondary priority)
  • Ensure tracking/tagging accuracy in partnership with analytics (UTM conventions, conversion tracking, GA4)


Required Experience & Skills



  • 5+ years of hands-on paid search experience, with agency-side experience preferred (client management, multi-account juggling, and reporting cadence expectations)
  • Deep, demonstrable expertise in Google Ads - Search, Shopping, and Performance Max
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets/Numbers skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/ XLOOKUP minimum)
  • Experience with Google Ads Editor, Google Analytics (GA4), and Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with bid management/automation tools
  • Comfortable working across multiple country accounts/lines of business concurrently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing reporting
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management / prioritization skills
  • Highly motivated with ability to thrive in a fluid, demanding, fastpaced environment


Nice-to-Have



  • Paid social platform experience (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok Ads) for cross-channel campaign support
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau)
  • Google Ads Search Certification (current)
  • Experience in Retail, D2C, and B2C
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills not required but would be advantageous


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Google Ads certifications strongly preferred Certifications (Preferred)
  • Google Ads Search Certification
  • Google Analytics (GA4) Certification
  • Google Shopping Ads Certification
