Repair Coordinator Overview:

The Repair Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the repair of unserviceable aircraft components and calibration of aircraft tooling by utilizing a network of approved repair vendors.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the repair and overhaul of unserviceable aircraft components
  • Analyze historical usage date to determine repair component candidates
  • Cross-collaborate with Stores personnel to generate repair orders and coordinate the shipment of unserviceable materials to approved repair vendors
  • Expedite repairs as necessary to support the operation
  • Continuously monitor vendor performance. Ensure accountability regarding cost, reliability, and turn times
  • Request Warranty Repairs as required
  • Recommend new repair vendors and manage current approved repair vendor portfolio
  • Build rapport and strong business relationships with approved repair vendors
  • Collaborate to identify cost saving opportunities
  • Recommend PMA part opportunities to Maintenance Engineering that improve performance and/or lower cost
  • Resolve issues related to shipping, paperwork, invoicing, or material discrepancies as required
  • Manage the material scrap process for aircraft parts as necessary
  • Review shop component tear down reports and approve repair work as required
  • Enter and manage all repair data for each repair order
  • Make recommendations to management on repair order or scrap dispositions
  • Coordinate the repair/testing/calibration of aircraft tooling
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Engineering to ensure compliance with mods/SB
  • Any other duties as assigned by management


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (to be determined by the hiring manager) required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage several diverse assigned tasks simultaneously
  • Adept at solving complex problems
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of change management skills
  • Ability to manage several diverse assigned tasks simultaneously
  • Driven toward tearing down organizational processes to optimize efficiencies

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Substitution of experience for Bachelor's degree requires a minimum of two (2) years of aviation inventory management experience with (4) years of aviation inventory management experience strongly preferred
  • Aircraft repair management experience
  • Airline or aircraft maintenance experience (A&P License)
  • Familiarity with aircraft component maintenance manuals
  • TRAX system software experience


Compensation:

$25.00-27.00 USD per hour. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

This position is open onsite in Las Vegas, NV.

Work Environment:

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. On occasion, this position will be required to operate in the Maintenance Hangar.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
