Overview

TRC is focused on significantly growing our environmental, health and safety (EHS) Services. We currently have a strong team, and we are making significant progress in adding talent to our national capabilities across various EHS Services. To achieve our goals, TRC is seeking an experiencedSenior EHS Director to join our team. The position requires a strong technical EHS service background, project management skills and experience, a solid reputation for building and maintaining key client relationships and a strong interest in business development. The position will focus on providing EHS permitting, compliance and management system consulting and helping clients to improve their performance to their applicable EHS goals and objectives. This position will support our national platform to deliver EHS Services.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to identify and secure new business opportunities, bringing a portfolio of clients and projects to TRC.
  • Proactively and routinely engage with key/targeted accounts for EHS Services delivery and growth as the account/program team leader.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop/maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of the market sectors associated with the assigned key/targeted accounts (market size, trends, competitors, growth outlook, emerging issues, regulatory issues, etc.), as well as within each assigned client's business growth plan and performance (e.g., company initiatives, acquisitions, annual 10K reports, etc.).
  • As assigned, partner with EHS National Service Leaders and account team members to pursue significant opportunities and participate in the development and issuance of proposals; provide proposal review and approval for these significant opportunities.
  • Drive EHS Services diversity and geographic coverage (as appropriate) into the growth of assigned key/targeted accounts; work closely with Operations Leadership Team to resource these opportunities.
  • Collaborate with TRC's marketing team to share thought leadership messages externally on a periodic basis.
  • Mentor next level leaders for the growth of their assigned accounts in delivering EHS Services.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Environmental Science is required; MS degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience performing and managing projects/programs focused on the EH&S Services outlined above.
  • Personal subject matter expertise in EHS Services and credentials (e.g., PE, CIH, CPEA, etc.) in one or more of the EH&S Services outlined above.
  • Demonstrated previous success with leadership/management of similar national EHS programs.
  • Experience as an EHS leader in industry is highly preferred.
  • National recognition/reputation is a plus.
  • TRC's key clients operate in the utility, energy, industrial/commercial, manufacturing, transportation and oil & gas/chemical market sectors.
  • Established client relationships managed by the candidate and experience in these market sectors is a plus.
  • Focused attention and responsibility to manage specific client relationships with a focus on service delivery and account growth.
  • Overall booking's goal for any and all significant client engagements - typically ranging from $400k-$600k per fiscal year.
  • Project engagement for specific client projects and support in areas of technical competencies - typically ranging from 60-70%.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $159,140.80 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
